Economic activity drives the demand for paint. In many developing countries, including Malaysia, lead paint is still widely used. Presently in Malaysia there is no law to ban the use of lead in paints. This adversely impacts human health and subsequently has a detrimental effect on the economy. The introduction of lead paint laws will eliminate the use of lead in paint. This will break the cycle and result in improved human health and economic activity.
