Nearly one in five Malaysian adults has diabetes

SOME 3.6 MILLION MALAYSIANS HAVE DIABETES, the HIGHEST IN ASIA and one of the highest in the world. 1 in 5 Malaysian adults now has the condition, as reported in the National Health and Morbidity Survey.

By 2025, close to 1 in 3 adults (7 million, both diagnosed and undiagnosed) are estimated to be affected by diabetes in Malaysia, the Ministry of Health revealed in 2019.
