WE NEED LAWS TO ELIMINATE LEAD IN PAINT

CAP has been making calls to the Government to come out with standards for lead in paints for almost 30 years now. Till today we still find lead in our paints. Over the years we have tested and found lead to be consistently present in paints sold. (https://consumer.org.my/cap-promulgate-law-to-eliminate…/).

Leaded paint is a continuing source of exposure to people – and a critical health threat to children. Regulation is the most effective action to eliminate lead paint. CAP calls on the Malaysian government to expedite the promulgation and enforcement of laws to eliminate lead in paint.

End childhood lead poisoning. Safeguard our children’s health and the health of future generations.
