Healthy outdoor games used to be the norm for children. They mingled with kids in the neighbourhood and kept themselves occupied in simple, joyful games, some of which can be played indoors too.
And they would often make up their own games. But many imaginative children’s games are now a thing of the past. If before, kids used to run around and play with just a simple box, today kids spend time sitting and playing tech games like X-box.
There’s a dearth of spontaneous play in the lives of children now, and their lifestyle is also more sedentary. Not only is this unhealthy, it may cause children to be not as developed and well-rounded as they could be.
