Italy moves to ban lab-grown meat to protect food heritage

Lai Cheng April 3, 2023 0 Comments

The Italian government has approved a bill that would ban lab-grown meat, the BBC reports. If it passes, breaking the ban would result in fines up to €60,000 ($88,237). Ministers say the reason for the move is to “safeguard our nation’s heritage”.
