NOT A MIRROR OF REALITY – Online Isn’t Real

Don’t believe everything you see on online. That perfect picture, polished look, or flawless portrayal of people you see online, particularly on social media, is not truly representative of real life. What’s presented is a curated, idealised version of beauty or reality.

Nothing on social media shows the full, or real story. As has been wisely pointed out: There are people with 5 likes that have lots of friends, people with 100 likes who are lonely, couples who look happy but are miserable, people in debt but who are “living lavish”.

That perfect image, perfect body, and perfect life that the online world makes you yearn for, doesn’t exist. In reality, life is full of issues and everyone has their own burdens and battles to fight, that they don’t talk about. In real life, everyone is imperfect.

Online isn’t real. Don’t compare your reality to social media’s illusion. Be authentic, be genuine, be beautifully real. Be yourself.
