HOW DO YOU SEE YOURSELF?

Our self-image is the mental picture we have of ourselves. Self-image is a crucial aspect of our lives, as it determines how we think, act, and live our lives. In fact, the way you view yourself is more important than how others see you.

Recognise and acknowledge your true value and worth. Find your own gifts and talents and develop them. Accept all your faults and imperfections – everyone has them. Do what you can to change the things you can and accept the things you can’t.

Believe in yourself. World famous painter Vincent Van Gogh said, “If you hear a voice within you say ‘you cannot paint,’ then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced.”

Look deep within. “Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes,” said Carl Gustav Jung, the Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst who founded the idea of analytical psychology.

You are capable of great things. Famous English novelist, poet and playwright A.A. Milne left this advice: “Always remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.”
