EAT REAL FOOD, NOT SUPERMARKET JUNK

When it comes to our health, one of the most important things we can do is to eat real food (Organic Live Food) but if you think the supermarket is the answer to this, think again.

A 2016 study found that supermarkets are the primary source of empty calories consumed by US adults, far surpassing convenience stores, vending machines, entertainment venues and fast-food and full-service restaurants.

Although supermarkets do offer fresh fruits and vegetables, some of the healthiest foods around, it can be challenging to only stick to things that don’t come in a package or a bag when you go supermarket shopping.

Consumer psychology and marketing ploys are often used by supermarkets to get at your subconscious and trick you into buying that extra bag of chips or the new and not-so-healthy food product that claims to be natural and sugar-free.

In the above study, it was found that adults buy the bulk of their sugar-sweetened beverages and nutrient-poor discretionary foods at supermarkets, and also grocery stores.
